I'll start this off.

Last year I would have to say the Ice 12u (Cole) Dan and Mike have done a great job with these girls over the years. Like any good well coached team the key is keeping your base together and adding to them as needed.

Also have been Impressed with Grand Slam this year

At 12U I have to agree with Ohio Ice-Cole is one of the best coached teams. Dan Cole does a great job. Other teams I have seen this year and last that are well coached in my opinion in no particular order:
HOH Nitro - Miller
Pitts Lady RR Blue - Elling
Lady lasers Red 98
Ohio Power
Ohio Glory
North Coast Spirit (Eric)
Ohio Classics 98
Valley Extreme
Thunder Elite - Grimes

Just to name a few.....

I would say Doug Lenos of the Hawks.

Doom.. up and down the age groups.

And this new team I saw last year... Liberty Blazers.. Coach Tim.

I've only seen the Southern Ohio teams so no disrespect to the Central and Northern teams.

One thing you seem to find in common with well coached teams is they have a core group that stays together that way your not teaching a new team every year. So definitely believe not only do you need a good coach also longevity of playing together as a team. Sorry if I kinda hijacked my own thread.

Agree 100%. It has really helped us. My 11u team will be in their third season, 7 core players that have played together in over 140 games and practiced weekly non-stop for over 34 months straight.

Our practices are more efficient, they are honing their skills not learning new ones all the time.

Last night we worked on backhand flips and on fielding and throwing the ball with their glove only to the catcher. We talked about how we may used that only a couple time a season (used the example of a bunt and play at the plate - pitcher, third or first base may have to do a glove toss to the catcher) but when we do it may win us a game. At 11u is is great to be able to teach these ladies a technique that you rarely see at their age.

LoL Bob! That is like the pot calling the kettle black! I must however agree with Musty, and my daughter has only played for one of those teams, that all he mentioned are very well coached.

I'll have to go with:

PC Sting
Lasers Black
Lasers Gold
Doom 96
Indy Thunder
Ohio Dragons Pink

I got to see all of these teams play many times last season. They were for the most part very well coached and very impressive.
