I'm sure this is on a thread that already exists, but a quick search didn't return it; what is the best ipad app for electronic scorekeeping? Likes, dislikes, etc.

There are two main choices... iScore (the one I use) and Gamechanger. iScore meets all my needs, but has a learning curve and costs $9.99. For that I have all the stats I could ever want, by tournament and season. I can broadcast games and tweets automatically (with wireless) for no additional cost. I can email stats to anyone as needed - in Excel, HTML and CSV. For an additional cost, I can set up a team website with password protection.

$9.99 is cheap for the power this has and the quality of data that our coaches get from it. This app has a great design team that is always looking for improvements and an amazing community of people participating on its forums for questions and answers. There are also tutorials to help with the learning curve. I VERY HIGHLY recommend this app.

iScore Sports | Products | iScore Sports

I am a scorekeeping nut - started at age 9 with baseball on the radio. I love stats. LOVE THEM. The number of stats on pitching, fielding and hitting are amazing and I don't have to compute any of them. Not one. Check this link out and prepare to be amazed..

I believe the Gamechanger folks are just as passionate about their app so I believe you can be happy with whichever one you choose.

I have tried GC as well as iScore and I prefer iScore. What is nice is we have one of the Coaches that keeps score on iScore and since I have the app, I simply import the information. It is really great for spray charts and tendencies.

I-score also allows you to transmit games online thru wi-fi or cell connection so parents at home can view games for free, Game Changer charges the people to watch at home

I have used both iScore and game changer..

Both have similar learning curves. After trying both I give the nod to iScore for a travel team.

IScore has a one time 10$ app purchase and you own your data on your device ( w backup to company server). Game changer charges users 8$ a month ( beyond I think first 5).

IScore has more robust scorecard and stats and easier access and sharing of stats. (paying users of game cast can't access all the stats and scorecards. Only the admin. )

Both can provide real time updates/viewing by remote users
* Game changer has advantage in text alerts and a post game 'news paper style summery" that iScore does not offer.
* But iScore has a MLB.com game cast like graphic viewer that is nice from computer and 'lighter' html graphic viewer for score and play by play for phone

Initially game changer seemed more user friendly until you got serious reviewing stats and found less comprehensive..

If you are travel team scorer, IMHO iScore For 10$ is the best value and functionality .

I use GC for HS...found out the hard way that it does not work with Android O/S for softball, so I had to hold my nose and buy an Apple product, oh well....stats and spray charts CAN be shared with all followers, but our coach prefers NO players or parents be "stat watchers", so it is an easy click to block stats from view.....I really like the integration with MaxPreps, and our team and players out there on a National viewing platform, but that's not a concern with TB....I have never used iScore hands on, but do know one lady that uses it, and likes it....think you can't go wrong with either. Just depends on which exclusive features best suits your needs.
