How about the best thrower (from the bench) who warms up the outfielder nearest the dugout.

Actually, I would like to nominate the Westerville South scorekeeper as one of the best, His books are very organized and detailed as well as up-dated regularly,I would think that by looking at the averages - Pitching, hitting or fielding they pretty much are true to the stat,no 'GIVE ME" hits or fielding errors etc. Thanks Mr Eads & great job !

Ok! Ok! Best annoying Cheer!!! You will all have to admit that this cheer has got to be in the top 3 most annoying cheers:

"We're not gonna shut up 'til we get a hit, get a hit, get a hit or a walk.... We're not gonna shut up 'til we get a hit, get a hit, get a hit or a walk ..."

You know it - you've now got that cheer stuck in your head - isn't it annoying!!!

Coach R , I have noticed that the Westerville stats are more true to form. This I believe gives more credibility to the program when the scorekeeper is on top of this and fair. I have the ATEC scoring guide handy and it seems that after some games or the day after the game when the hits and errors are posted in the dispatch . I spend a few minutes explaining to not only the parents but also the players who are curious as to why some hits are errors and vice versa. Educating players and parents on real stats is well worth the time spent if they are willing to learn and accept the guildlines that are set on scoring hits and errors accuratly. I applaud any efforts that a high school extends to keep accurate stats. It will only help the players in the end and give any college coach a real perspective on the recruitable athlete.

I would say the 2004 Gapps tournament wins the diamond dry award. Great job getting that one done when everything else had to be cancelled in the area.
