If a player gets a nose bleed and blood gets on her uniform does she have to come out of the game? I'm thinking she does but want to clarify. 1)if she has to come out can she change her uniform and go back in? Can she put on a different uniform with a different number?

Don't think uni with blood constitutes being removed from the game...

Dug out the rule book:
RULE 4 SECTION 9 - BLOOD RULE
A game participant or umpire who is bleeding or who has blood on their uniform shall be prohibited from participating further in the game until appropriate treatment can be administered. If medical care or treatment is administered in a reasonable length of time, the individual will not have to leave the game. The length of time that is considered reasonable is left to the umpire's judgement. Uniform rule violations will not be enforced if a uniform change is required. The umpire shall: A) Stop the game and immediately call a coach, trainer or other authorized person to the injured player and allow treatment. B) Apply the rules of the game regarding substitution, short handed rule and re-entry if necessary.

I am pretty sure there are high school, college and pro sports (e.g., basketball) where you can't play with blood on the uniform because of the risk of blood-borne diseases ... so definitely a reasonable question ...

I think the rule is to make sure that the bleeding has stopped before player begins playing again.......
When I was coaching high school wrestling they put in a 5 minute blood rule. I remember stuffing a lot of cotton up a few noses........

Keep saline solution in the players bat bag to prevent the nose bleed and wear black uniforms. LOL
