After watching games all weekend all I can say is the NSA needs to get a better grip on the Umpires. I watched a 14-U game where 1 team got every call and the feeling on the field was so intense the Cheif of nsa and the umpire in chielf had to watch the whole game and after the game the umpires got there photo taken with the winnning team. What kind of example is this teaching our grand children and children, If you have a problem with a team or coach do not take it out on the kids deal with them or if you are not man or woman enough to do that just stop umpiring

What tournament doesnt have 1 or 2 bad umps. Thats just something you have to live with in any sport. Sad but true . I thought the tournament was ran well .

I agree that any tournament can have bad umps... but I was perplexed that the Chief Ump and NSA person was supposedly on hand and watch and from lack of any more information did nothing.

did what about what? change the calls? This tourney was very nice and NO one is ever gointg to be 100% happy so let it alone. If your team shines, there would be no comment and if it does not, there seems to be alot of comment. This was a great tourney!! Thanks John! We had a great time even though we did not play well at all.

The game in question was my game, Did we have bad call's well dont everyone, could things have been handled better by the Umpires, sure the bottom line is that this is suposse to be fun for the girls, would I love to win every game, who wouldnt but let the girls win or lose on the field by there play not by having the umpires control it. I was told that " this is my call you can not appeal it deal with it if you dont like it protest amen" what kind of talk is that in front of the girls? As for NSA doing nothing well what could they do they did enough earlier releaseing a player from my roster without even the player asking for a release so coaches watch out if the player does not like your team they dont even need to ask you for a release they will get one if the ask NSA. We lost not because of the Umpires we did not score, you dont score you dont win simple. During the game I was told that "the field ump made the wrong call sorry" try to explain that to your team when the umpires even know they blew it. All in all this was a fun time love to play on slopping fields where the girls run up hill, down hill, and uphill again and that is just from home to first.

I thought the tournament was run fine, I thought there were some good umpires and a few less desirable ones. But let's be honest, you cannot blame an umpire for missing a call, it happens, its part of the game, there is no instant replay, and I for one am happy about that.

I am sure we an all look to one error, that might have cost us some runs, or an at bat with runners on where we didn't execute. Or even one bad pitch, a drop ball that doesn't drop or a rise ball that doesn't rise. these are the reason's games are lost.

Now the fields are another issue, this was my first time at softball world and I have friends who play mens softball there and always thought this was a premier facility, I was a little disappointed as they didn't meet my expectations. Forget the fact that we played on fields Saturday morning that truly were not playable, Once again, you cannot blame someone because of rain. However, the hills and valleys in the field could be fixed and the lip behind the infield dirt could be leveled out a little as well.
