Absolutely, it is ?NOT just you?. ?Yes, I am confident that you and I, under the right circumstances, would unquestionably enjoy sharing a few beers. ?However, that could never surpass the excitement that lies in the possibility of our seeing you again on an alcohol-free Sunday, July 1st at 6:30 p.m. on Softball World's field # 4!!!

You clearly have the right idea - as is evident in your managing, and in the very family-friendly tourneys you worked so hard to deliver. ?Your Willoughby events are fantastic family events.

We just need more folks like you who so clearly realize and work so hard on the idea that we do all this for the kids.

Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday - ideally, at 6:30 p.m.!!!
Best wishes!

Thanks Harp for the kind words. I've said time and time again that this is for the kids. In Willoughby we have that mentality throughout our organization and we work hard not to forget it. Thanks for the compliments on our tournaments, we look forward to seeing you and all the teams that visited us this year again. The quality of teams and most of all the quality of the people on those teams from caoches to players to parents were second to none.

How about having to stop your game to have another team move out of our outfield because the were warming up well into our left field since there are not fences or warm areas. But hey by Sat evening they did bring a bucket and dump water on the bases!! What a terrible place!!

Does anybody know the 12U champ at Brookpark? I know Lasers Silver won the A at Tealtown.

I spoke with John Delucha last night, the reason he uses softball world for the "B" states is there are no other NSA facilities that have lights up here. ?There is one other facility up in Brookpark, but he would have to use union workers for ?field maintenance and they would get double time on the weekends. ?

You get what you pay for. How much profit did NSA make from this?

My personal favorite is taking 10-18 year olds to a place COVERED with beer adds...on the back of every dugout, every scoreboard, the sides of the central building, even inside some of the dugouts. One of our players made the observation that a pitcher of beer was cheeper than a bottle of Power Ade. Very sad!

I agree with the beer comments --best left out of fastpitch tourney's. While we are griping how bout having these big events on softball fields made for girls ?? We had a blast at Sluggerfest but playing on mens fields with 300 feet fences and your outfielders in the dirt just is'nt right. MD

My question is was that 16U Tigerlillies an A or a B team??? In observing them, they should of been in an A tournament. Taking the championship off of Emeralds or Chain Reaction was unfair. Did anyone even score on them this weekend???? Not fair!!!!! Just a thought.

DewDad, there are several "A" teams in each age group that continually play down at "B" States so that they can collect hardware! They always use the same rational, that some teams don't have the finances to travel to "A"s...yeah whatever. Then they have the nerve to get on here and complain why no one considers them among the best in the state. It's always happened and it will continue to happen until a process is put into place. ::)

How dare those mean old 16u Tigerlillies take a run at the championship away from Chain Reaction. Wait . . . . . . wasn't that the 14u Chain Reaction that swept the State B Championships the past two years with a team that most definitely should have been at A's ???? Just a thought!

lpcrum,
Please don?t spoil my positive feelings about players and parents of the Tigerlillies who have favorably impressed me over the past few years.
Your comment about a "B" tourney:

gets me to now wonder if this is mostly the same Tigerlillies team that won a 16u ?A? berth last year at Tealtown.
If it is, I am thinking they could definitely run this year with the Sapphires who took this year's "A" tourney.
Did I miss something?

I guess maybe we shouldn't have A and B at all then if winning here and there gets you bashed around for playing B. If NSA thought that a team didn't belong there I am sure they would have removed them.
