So for the price of this clinic Crystl is actually willing to look at each player and go over the things they need to work on? Sure sounds like you will get your moneys worth. Are there still spots open? If so can you register at the door or is it only pre registered?

I have worked with Crystl doing clinics for the past three years and have worked with her on hitting since Jan. 2002... you get your monies worth from attending her clinics. For all the intrenet gurus on hitting you should try and attend and of course pay at the door if you want her knowledge of the game and hitting instruction. There are a lot of people who claim they understand hitting and how to teach it....go to the clinic and ask her yourself. If you can hit a ball 308 feet 2004 Olympic games and 425 feet Pan Am games 2005 you can teach her something...if not listen closely and she might be able to help you and your daughter learn the proper techniques...she uses a linear weight shift, with a lead arm move forward and finishes real well with rotational mechanics...and does not squish the bug. She matches the plane of the pitch very well with a bat speed of 78 MPH and stays in the BIG ZONE 70 inches and her hands are above the plane of the pitch on all pitches...go to the clinic and ask her yourself.

I got to see Crystl Bustos hit off a pitching machine a few months ago. It is nothing like what you see on television. I felt sorry for the person feeding the machine as he was having bullets hit back at him.

Crystl is also great with the girls. She has a humble attitude and treats the players like equals and will take the time to talk to them. She also brings her gold medals for the girls to see and often touch.

She is a wonderful person.

JOEA1010 Of all people you should be at this clinic even if high school ball starts on that Sat.. Call the ICE team and get them to at least let your girls watch (for a small fee) and listen to Crystl....this will or might motivate your girls to get to her level. I know the two girls on your team I coach want to become better hitters and use her techniques. Since you live in the area you MUST come out to spend the time with her and if you want I'll call Crystl myself to set up a meeting with you and her. I may be in China that week or I will be there myself just to see your smiling face again. Have a great season and tell the girls hi for me.

I would think that any girl in the surrounding area who wants to play at the next level would jump at the opportunity to work with one of the best. westerville alone has 3 high school teams who could benefit. Can't wait to watch and learn and hope that my dd takes as much as she can from this clinic.

Crystl Bustos Clinic Update

Good news for the Crystl Bustos Hitting Clinic being held at Otterbein College on March 24th and 25th. We have been informed that Howard Carrier will be attending and assiting Crystl during the clinic. For those who are not familar with Howard he is currently the Chinese National Teams hitting coach as well as Crystl's personal hitting coach. We consider ourselves very lucky to have someone with Howards knowledge and teaching skills assiting with the clinic.

We are still accepting registrations for both days and as of right now and we will be accepting walk in registrations at the door. Remember registrations start at 8:00 AM on Saturday and Sunday. Stay tuned for additional updates through the week.

Not that having Crystl Bustos isnt enough but we got a chance to see Howard at work during a clinic she did last year and he really knows hitting. An added bonus for the price. I was amazed at the things he uses to teach hitting. DD is really looking forward to this weekend.

Wow, the dynamic duo in Central Ohio!!! My daughters travel two hours one way to take lessons from Howard Carrier. They have learned so much from him. Words cannot express how grateful we are to have met him. He is a man that knows what he is talking about. If you follow what Crystl and Howard have to say, you will be pleased with the results.

Two days until clinic time. We still have slots available for both days and will be offering walk in registrations. You will notice that we had a $15 late fee for registration, this will be waived on all registrations so walk ins will be $125.00 as well.

On another note there will be a fee for all non parental observers. Any one who wishes to come to watch and learn techniques and drills will be welcome for a $20.00 entry fee.

I Have to second what Luvthegame said, my DD has been going to Howard for over 2 years and it has been one of the most influential experiences in my DD's softball playing. Howard has probably forgotten more about hitting than most "hitting gurus" ever knew... next time you go to a tournament, watch the big hitters and more than likely, they will have that signature "Howard" technique. This isnt your usual run of the mill clinic, I strongly recommend if you get a chance to attend, do so....

Just got done talking to Howard on the phone, and he is fired up and ready to go!!!

If you haven't had a chance to work with Howard and Crystal, then you don't wan't to miss this. Simply put, you won't find a better clinic in Ohio then one's that Howard and Chrystal work!!!

Lovethegame and Hitter23, I'm sure our paths have crossed on the softball trail, hopefully I'll get a chance to meet both of you Sunday if your there.
