Are you sure that you aren't just a teensy bit of the problem that OFCers have focusing on softball issues of substance? ;)

Yeah, yeah, I knew I was walking into some smart-*** reply when I posted. Didn't think it would be fictitious, though

I just thought she had not shaved her legs today! :lmao:

Tell her I said that please!

Howard
OK, I just told her what you said and her reply is...You're just jealous because her legs are "hotter" than yours. :yahoo:

BTW she gave me heck for participating in the "walking taco" threads.

You do not have to look any further than the California Thread to see what it was we were talking about. You saw and were part of the teaching process and how many girls actually practiced on their own. Then look at what they have been taught and something as simple as throwing has not even been taught so why would weight shift be understood for hitting.

One of the girls had been to a college camp and said they never taught her any of this. However another parent told me UM was very close to what we were doing.

We are all hopefully on the same page now....I have seen how Carol works on her own to make sure she understands the details to be able to teach it.

Maybe she is from California and Ted married her to be able to teach the kids in Ohio...besides she slept at a Holiday last night! :D

Thanks Howard

I did have one of the parents of a Heat 95 parent tell me she would never yell "straighten it out" to her daughter again. She clearly was paying attention to what Crystl was saying. :D

Wow! What a day! I was tremendously impressed with every aspect of the clinic. I visited several of the stations and was amazed how every coach running each station was teaching the same way as the coach running the station next to them.

That says a lot about how Howard and Crystl communicate not only to players attending the clinic but, how they teach the teachers.

I truley believe that the technique that was taught to our girls this weekend is 100% fundamentally sound. It makes all the sense in the world. How can you argue with the success of what may be the most prolific hitter in any sport using a bat and a ball.

That said, I think that there was a message sent that even over-shadows the art that was taught. It gave me chills when Crystl told the girls that the only thing holding them back was themselves. She held the girls accountable for their success. Not their parents or coaches. Only they can control if they reach their dreams and they can't blame anyone else if they don't get there.

Thank you Howard and Crystl, the Ohio Ice and all of the volenteer coaches that helped make this weekend a possibility.
