Saw this on another forum yesterday and thought since he touched a lot of lives it should be posted here.

Coach Don Dobina, founder and coach of the Louisville Lady Sluggers, passed away in his sleep last night.
He helped many young ladies from the state of Kentucky realize there dream of playing college softball.
Don and his wife Susan unselfishly donated their most precious commodity, time.

Coach Dobina was an outstanding supporter of softball at all levels. He and his wife Susan touched many lives. The softball community has lost a coach who was always in it for the kids. Very humble and always proud of his teams. He raised the standards for travel softball and was a great fan of college softball. He had a huge heart. So sorry to see him leave our world.
