I have friends that play with the Liberty Blazers Organization AND THEY ARE well aware OF THE PROBLEM/Accusation/Rumor/ Potential problem/ Gossip, The Blazers have quite a few dedicated parents and coaches that I consider good people, They have some amazing talent and some GREAT KIDS! Its pretty obvious you started this account with the intent of bashing this particular person and /or organization! If what you say is true, have at it! We all agree we don't need people like this in this situation.

Now lets look at what you have done! You have thrown the whole Blazers org under the bus, You have given no details about who , what when, Now we have sexual predator references mixed in with this, One who reads this wont know what to think. Basically you have slandered the whole organization, Ask West Side Little League what can happen, YOU CANT CONTROL EVERYONE. But heck yes background checks need to be in place! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT.

I must say the sneaky nature of your posts kind of annoy me! I'd much rather you just say what you mean and mean what you say! If you have something to say and its as important as I think it is, Then say it! But please be clear and truthful so not to harm other Good People within the organization! Basically man up! I don't doubt that what you say is true, I think you could be much more helpful by going to the organization and state the facts! I encourage you to do this! Id make sure this person isn't in a position of power in the organization also!


Disclaimer : To prevent an incorrect understanding of something. By no means am I taking up for this person that you still have not identified! I am simply taking up for the many good people that I KNOW exist in the Blazers organization! If this is true others in the organization should take action NOW! It should be REAL EASY to find the truth! If you have proof then no one will be upset with you for bringing it forward and Id suggest you do EXACTLY THAT!

Well Stated! I am one of former founders of the Liberty Blazers and I know who everyone is talking about and I am aware of the situation being mentioned. I would like to remind everyone to be CAREFUL unless you know the facts. To the very best of my knowledge there is *nothing* that occurred that would show up on a background check and to very best of my knowledge this person was never accused of anything of a sexual nature. I am not defending that person's actions, but once again be very careful about what you say if you don't know the facts.

This person needs to step down PERIOD! It wouldn't matter to me if he was convicted or not of these accusations, my kid wouldn't be playing for this coach! There is no excuse for allowing this person to still be involved. I'm sure there is someone within the organization who can handle those duties. Is that where we are now, "nothing that occurred that would show up on a background check"? Come on really???

There were 140,000+ Child-Line reports filed in PA last year and less than 7,000 were found to be valid. That means that there were 133,000+ adults wrongly accused of child sexual abuse last year alone.

Wait until you are the subject of a groundless accusation and see if you feel we should hang 'em all high and then sort out the guilty from the innocent.

Lets not go on a witch hunt, here or in real life.

Those stats are ignorant! Even if they're correct it's 7000 too many in my opinion! Since you have all the numbers, how many of those convictions were first time callers? I read in one of your previous posts that you're a HS coach, would you be allowed to stay on the job if you were accused of something like this? I highly doubt it! The only reason this person is still involved is because it's a private organization and that's sad! I don't know if he did anything or not but do the right thing and step away so the organization can move forward. Let's not lose sight of the girl and her family in this.

The stats are not ignorant. They are just facts.
The fact is that 19 innocent people were reported for every single one that is passed onto be prosecuted, far fewer were convicted (in PA).

While your focus on the child is commendable, we are out of balance with the assumption that the adult is always at fault. The vast majority of reports of child abuse are found to be false when the facts are reviewed and rumors are ignored. You on the other hand have already convicted the adult and tossed away the key based on no actual knowledge of the case. This is a very typical knee jerk reaction to these charges by a vastly uninformed public.

In America I thought we are to be presumed innocent until PROVEN guilty...not just ACCUSED. Apparently you wish that anyone accused of misconduct of any kind should resign, go to jail or just disappear in a deep dark hole whether guilty or innocent.



PS: My High School (and yours) is required by state law to suspend a coach, teacher, facility, staff, administrator, etc...at reception of a report. That individual is in limbo until the State Police concludes their investigation and issues their findings

That doesn't mean that 19 were innocent for every guilty 1 found. How many got off on a technicality? Or how many of the accusers were too afraid to face their attacker in court so they got off? There is a much bigger picture that you need to understand. Bottom line is that there is no place for this kind of stuff in softball or society for that matter and until we quit turning the other cheek it will always be an issue. I don't wish that anyone accused of anything should go to jail or disappear into a dark hole but what's wrong with stepping away for awhile so the organization can move forward? As you said, it's the state law in a public school system. Should it be different for private organizations? I guess we can just agree to disagree here. You make some valid points, but none are arguments for the alleged victim which are also all too common in today's world. I truly hope that this situation is resolved and both parties move forward appropriately. I guess that's all we can ever hope for. Best of luck to everyone who is directly involved in the situation.

RP 22 is right on point. Who is SB FAN anyway? I find it strikingly odd that the day and moment this person became a member, this is their first and only thread that they have started. To top it off, this person has replied only 4 times and 3 were to this thread. I am not aware of the facts, if there are any but this person definitely has an agenda, IMO. To post this on an open forum with only accusations without any sort of creditability or facts is irresponsible towards the person you are convicting and the org you are tarnishing. SB FAN, you have basically put a scarlet letter on the org. My question to you is, what part in this do you play to claim to know so much that you feel it necessary to hide behind a screen name, on a public softball forum and make quite possibly outrageous claims?

6and22dad you are right on here. This offense was against a minor, a former player of this coach. Would post the 5 year Civil Protection Order here too, but that names the victim. I wouldn't post that w/o checking with the victims family first. I'm sure they have been through enough.
