Trileague, ummm......what?

True, there are Ohio colleges that have gone from regional recruiting to national recruiting.

There are Ohio colleges that are now getting players from other states. There also are Ohio players going to colleges out of state....and of course Ohio girls playing in state. Many girls from Ohio are getting recruited.

Tri-league ... I may be misunderstanding what you're saying, but my daughter played at BW and now coaches at Tri C ... I know the coaches and the programs at both schools extremely well, and both of these team's rosters are 90%+ Ohio girls. As for the D1 colleges, yes they all recruit out of state and need to continue to do so to compete, but there are plenty of Ohio girls playing on these teams, and an increasing number of Ohio girls playing on out of state D1 colleges as well.

Oh really? Are you talking about softball???? Here is the BW website roster ... they don't have the incoming freshmen on it but it looks like 100% Ohio to me ... http://www.bwyellowjackets.com/sports/sball/2014-15/roster

And my DD played there 4 years, and I want to say that they never had more than 2 out of state girls on the roster ... an occasional girl from MI or PA. Now keep in mind that BW is a D3 school, and doesn't offer athletic scholarships either ...

As for Tri-C, that is utter BS as well ... I attended about 1/2 of their games last year, and am familiar with their recruiting class for this year, and again, it's 90+% Ohio ...

You really have me confused ... and sorry to say, but you happened to mention the two schools I probably know more about than any others. Tri-C doesn't post a roster on their website but most schools do and it's easy to call you out. Ursuline does have a fair amount of out of state players, but I believe that has way more to do with the girls who happen to choose that school for academics than their softball program recruiting out of state.

For a Midwest state with snow, sleet, blizzards etc. We are doing just fine! Plus it seems you are trolling using hear/say.

Perhaps more of the Ohio girls are playing out of state? Our DD is in PA along with 2 other girls from northeast Ohio. The coach told us in Columbus this summer that she plans to come to more OH tournaments because the players are hotter right now than the teams she sees on the east coast.
