interesting...would like to have heard from some female coaches....have seen coaches fail because they don't know how to coach girls...they don't necessarily respond the same way a boy does to "motivation and passion",lol

It is interesting. The first time I ever heard the expression "get your head out of your a$$" was my baseball coach yelling at me when I was ten. My dad wouldn't have dreamt of yelling at my coach. Instead I got "what for" in the car ride home. Although I coach a lot differently than he did, he was the best coach I ever had - bar none. Of course, growing up it also seemed like I got spanked every day too - sometimes at school, usually by mom or dad. Looking back I wouldn't change a thing. I turned out ok and overall had a good childhood. Apparently you can't be "old school anymore" though or you get fired or prosecuted.
