What organizations in Southwestern & Central Ohio really focus on college exposure at the 16U level? Not only exposure tournaments but college team camps in the fall/winter too? Also, helping players contact coaches, or at least getting them started, and really helping to promote the players to the schools, whether it's DI, DII, DIII, or NAIA?

I realize the players need to promote themselves but they probably need some guidance from their travel coach/organization too.

I don't know this from experience, but I've had a few coaches, parents and my DD's pitching coach tell me that The Lasers (Columbus) have good contacts and exposure to colleges at all levels once you hit the 16U level.

Turn2, the best way to see which organizations are best at placing their players into college programs is to go directly to the organization's website. They all generally will post which colleges their players have committed to or are playing for. Regarding camps the organization would really not have much to do with that other than making you aware of when the schools they have good relationships with are holding them. If you are thinking D1/D2, here are the organizations I think are (or have been) best at getting their kids placed. You may find you need to travel beyond SW and central Ohio.
Ohio Outlaws
Ohio Nightmare
Bandits/Team DeMarini
Lasers
Miami Valley Xpress
Cinci Doom
Obviously there are other organizations doing a great job at this as well. These are just the programs I can think of off hand.
Good Luck!

Cincy Static has sent plenty on to college. Any Static coach will help any young player get to the next level anyway they can. They do not even have to be in our organization but it does help if they are. All Static practices are open to any young athlete wanting to help her game.

I myself contact as many college coaches as I can to help promote our players. Not only do we constantly remind our players to send out schedules with game times and locations but we as coaches email and call as many coaches as we can to help get our players on the radar screen. www.valleystorm.org

Turn2, something else you could do, go to the Stingrays tournament at Fred Beekman park this weekend and watch the best 16u teams in action in the absolute best showcase tournament that Ohio has to offer and you can see for yourself what some teams may have to offer.
