We are looking to play 6-7 tournaments this winter at the various colleges in the region. This seems to be comeing a popular thing for the colleges to do. We like it for the possible exposure. I know Kent and Akron put on indoor tournaments. Any one else know of any????

The Blue-Grey is a scouting service that holds tournaments to showcase players. They have been doing baseball showcases for at least 10 years. This year will be their first attempt to hold a softball showcase. Anyone can attend. You have to be nominated but a parent can do this as well as a coach. They will be competeing for college coaches this year since the date of their showcase is the same date as Rising Stars in Davie Florida. IMO, most college coaches will still chose to attend Rising Stars.

Diamonds of North showcase held at Kent State in January (formally known as the Ringor Showcase) will be competeing with the Rising Stars showcase which will be held in January on the same date. Diamonds of the North is taking applications now for individual players.

I am curious as to how the Queen of Diamonds showcase will be affected this year by the Rising Stars tournament. Last year a large majority of the coaches left on Saturday night to go to the Rising Stars tournament. At that time the RS tournament was rescheduled because of the hurricane. This time they just added a new tournament. If I were a coach and got to choose, I would prefer outdoor in Florida to indoor in Ohio in January.
