“The Grind” College Showcase and Camp
Who: 16U and 18U Divisions, 8 teams each division
What: 7-Game Guarantee, all teams play each other, winner take all
Where: Akron’s Firestone Stadium, Firestone Pony Field, and Diamond Crystal
When: June 28-30, 2024
Cost: $995
Details: The Grind Tournament will be at the newly upgraded Firestone Stadium Main Field, Pony Field, which are both newly turfed, and nearby Crystal Park. The 16U and 18U divisions will each consist of 8 teams who will play each other for the 7-game guarantee (4-5 Games at the turfed fields). The team with the best record or wins the tiebreaker is crowned champion of their division. Each game will be 80 minutes finish the inning, weather permitting.

College Showcase Camp
In addition to the tournament, Softball at the Point ran by legendary coach Julie Jones will be holding a college showcase camp on Thursday, June 27 at Firestone Stadium. Coaches Jones is well-known for running great college camps that draw numerous college coaches to run the camps and interact constantly with the players. Coach Jones has already received numerous college coach commitments to participate in the showcase camp. More information on her camp will be posted soon at: www.softballatthepoint.com
