They sent us (Buckeye Heat '95) home, too, but boy was the coaching staff proud of this Buckeye Heat team. After dominating most of the teams in their first two tournaments, the Buckeye Heat '95 met a buzz-saw in the form of the Cincy Doom at last week's Fairborn tournament (Heat placed 2nd). Then in pool play at Compuware, Indy Dreams schooled the Heat. The Heat ladies could have laid down in the face of those losses, but they showed great pluck and a willingness to improve in two bracket wins over the Indiana Shockwave and the Stingrays, both high quality teams. Even in the face of two "walk-about" innings against the Ohio Ice Silver, Heat kept competing. Congrats to both the Indy Dreams and the Ohio Silver Ice on their stellar play. They (in addition to the Doom) have given the Heat '95 great examples of the team we would like to be. Looking forward to finding out the final results of the 12U Compuware competition.
PS: This team is looking to finalize its roster. See the post under "Coaches looking for players".
