Haven't heard any scores but I did hear that the umps were checking facemasks and lots of teams are scrammbling to get the "certified" masks. They let teams play yesterday with the "older" masks but told them they had better have them today.

Stingrays 12 lost to Indy Dreams (12) 10-2 in the 8am game this morning :-[

Buckeye Heat 16U (Abraham) went 1-2 in pool play:

0-1 vs Pittsburgh Spirit Gold
4-3 vs Grand Slam (substitute game for a forfeit from MI Outlaws)
1-8 vs IN Twisters

The ladies won their first game in the tournament 4-3 over Finesse and play the Wolfpack tonight in what should be a great match up. The Heat won a 1-0 dandy against the Wolfpack last week at Stingrays.

The Wolfpack beat the Heat 4-3 in the round of 16. The Heat got runners on 2nd and 3rd with one out in the 7th, but failed to get a runner home. Next up for the Heat is Sluggerfest.

I think the Stingrays 12u, 14u and 16u are still alive in the tourney. The 16's are in the final 8. ?

FlaRays, I don't think the 12U, 14U, and 16U Rays are all undefeated, but I believe they are all still alive in bracket play. I know the 16s defeated the Lasers Pink 7-0 in the first round, and Michigan Bulldogs 5-3, other than that, everything is second hand info.

Is the Buckeye Heat 16U (Abraham) team the younger of the three 16U Buckeye Heat teams? Watched some of their games last week if this is the team that has more than half of the girls on the team that are playing up and are still 14U eligible this year. This team looked very solid from what I saw. Watched them play and beat some very good second year 16U teams that had mostly juniors and seniors on their teams.
