The new league alignment was decided on in December. There will still be three divisions. I will have to find the alignments and post them. Several teams have joined the MSL.

This is some really old information. Since then Hayes was replaced as commissioner and an alignment was agreed upon. It looks like:

Buckeye: Amanda Clearcreek, Bloom Carroll, Circleville, Fairfield Union, Hamilton Township, Liberty Union, Logan Elm and Teays Valley

Cardinal: Berne Union, Fairfield Christian Academy, Fisher Catholic, Grove City Christian, Harvest Prep, and Millersport

Ohio: Bexley, Columbus Academy, Grandview Heights, London, Madison Plains, West Jefferson, Whitehall-Yearling and Worthington Christian.

There are four teams still entertaining moves to the OCC: Hamilton Township, Teays Valley, Bexley and Whitehall. If that happens, those two divisions drp to six teams and will play cross overs with one another. There are still several teams out there that are interested in joining the league. You will see if fill back up in time for the 2013-14 season.

One of the big reasons for this is the re emerging of the LCL or Licking County League. They are reforming an old league to keep games closer, more rival and better fan attendance. Heath, Granville, Licking Valley, Utica, Johnstown, Northridge, Watkins, Newark Catholic, Licking Heights and Lakewood.

Most people around here are very excited about the return of this league, however there are some concerns about the Size of Watkins' and Licking Heights in comparrison with the other shcools and competition with them in Football and baseball???

There is no doubt the reformed LCL is an exciting development. Crush1 is exactly right about the rivalries, decreased travel and better attendance which is directly tied to interest. The old Licking County rivalries were intense, hope that picks right back up. Not many folks at Watkins got fired up about traveling to Hilliard or Olentangy and I'm sure the folks there felt the same about traveling to Watkins. Time will tell about the concerns with Watkins football and baseball. We are a bit of a tweener.
