Division III semi finals

Champion Lady Flashes beat Brookville last night 9-1 in the state semi-finals.

It was a good game with a majority of their runs coming in the sixth inning. Champion was leading 3-1 and then scored 6 runs on 6 hits in the sixth.

Senior Jackie Carpentar had a solo home run and a 2RBI triple.

The game was due to start at 3:00 yesterday and was delayed until 10:30 pm las t night.

They are scheduled to play in the Finals today at 5:00 in Ashland.

I was hoping to be there to watch the games but when everything got rescheduled I was not able to make it.

Sounds like a great game by Champion as they got to a pitcher who had not given up much in the previous games. Perhaps it was good game planning or just timely hitting but in any case that was quite a statement.

It was a good game. Champion ended up losing to Carroll Bloom in the finals 2-0 on Saturday.
