Elyria 10U SunDogs Played in FindlayOh, ASA Eastern Nationals,
This tournament was well ran Hats off to ASA of Ohio and Tournament director these guys did an excellent job, it was first class, I have attended many nationals over the years with my oldest and middle kid but by far this was ran the best out of any Nationals I have ever attended. Coaches where treated very well along with families etc? The whole town of Findlay was very nice and welcomed everyone.
Umpires where very good first class they even would let you vent a little, lol but really did a nice job. Only one problem was one game the umpire had a really hard time keeping balls and strikes straight, we had to correct him several times.
Marathon Fields are excellent even after all the rain we had, tournament director and ASA officials did a super job of making sure everyone played there games.
We finished runners up to ICE red after being knocked into losers bracket by Cincy static and had to play four games on Sunday and beat Static in semifinals to get back into championship game against Red. We fell behind in championship game 10-1 and came back in fifth inning to 9 to 10 and in the sixth inning we ran out of time and lost 12 to 11. Time limit was one hour forthy minutes in championship,Seemed odd but rules are rules.
We love to play Mikes team they are great, coaches kids etc? families are wonderful we always run into them late on Sunday. Losing to Mikes team is not a bad thing they are well coached with some great ball players. We wish them the best, and what away to end the seasons what a great game it was. Wow!
