I stand in front of all of you with a heavy heart. Members of our softball family have lost a piece of their lifes. Last night 9 year old Joey Sharpe lost his life in a freak accident. Joey is the younger brother of Jennifer Sharpe of the Miami Valley Vipers 12u. I have spent many years telling the Sharpe's of the family, that is fastpitch softball in OHIO. Now I ask that our softball family take a moment and say a prayer for this wonderful young man and the family he has left behind as he finishes his own journey. Thank You!

The Dayton Yellowjackets had the pleasure of having Jenny and her family with our organazation last season. What a wonderful family. No one deserves the pain of losing a child and the Sharpes where no exception. Our family lost a daughter several years back and the pain is the worst pain anyone could imagine. My thoughts, prayers and strength go out to Jim and Lori and their entire family. God Bless You All.
