During the game your pitchers may pitch many different type of pitch(s) to the batter's in order to create or control the type of hit(s), her defense most likely will face from the Girls Fastpitch Softball Team Batters.

A drop curve, a ball moving on 2 planes, down and out.

For 9/10u, a well placed, low fastball.

For a well seasoned 10u or 12u, a drop.

Probably, for everyone else, the drop or drop curve.

or a nice low change that is thrown after a low fastball, you are not throwing the change for a strike, you start it in same spot as fastball

DD throws a "cutter" which breaks down and in on a RHB. Lots of ground balls.

Lefty DD also has a cutter that is one of her better most consistent pitches, lots of down and out when it's working.
