Hooray! We're having our first outdoor practice tomorrow due to the predicted 60 degree weather. Went out and worked all day on my ball field to start getting it ready-flipping it over to dry it out. Going to work all day tomorrow to finish it, for the excitement of the practice. Third week of February-who woulda thought. Excited to see the kids and what they look like out on the dirt-it has been much too long.

Lexington is for sure not far enough south. Last year in late March when our team played a DH at Lexington it was snowing both games and I do mean snowing good. I was the smart one and pulled behind right field in my car and watch the games there! :D

I started a new job in Lexington- commuting from Columbus. Was surprised to find out that the temperatures are consistently about 5 degrees colder up there than they are at home, plus they seem to get more snow. First daily commute I ever had that involved climate change!

Nice job getting the fields ready today. I guess it helps having your own field in your backyard. Although I think you have seen field of dreams 1 too many times. LOL. Weather held out for you as well.

We had our first practice outside also.

In a twist, we actually used the football field which has artificial turf.

joboo1drew, yes, I'll admit I have watched that movie a few times, still waiting for all the great softball players to come out of the woods in my case. LOL.

TNT-Softball00 and fadge61, glad to hear you guys were able to get outside also. TNT, I believe we're in a tournament with you at the end of March.
