I think that you as parent make a mistake not having a plan 'B' in place for just this occurrence. She (and you) were planning on getting selected for an elite team, had an invite form the coach,.... she was a shoe-in. The coach invited a dozen girls for the one slot and had more show up on their own, she didn't make the cut... so what.
There is more than one team that has these aspirations; perhaps mutliple tryouts in multiple cities would be in order. Get off the couch and go find one. So what it isn't what she had her heart set on, they don't want her, don't let some coach determine your dd's future. Get on with plan 'B' and work on Plan 'C' and 'D' just in case. TNT has players flying in from GA perhaps they need just what your daughter offers.
