Set a ball on a tee about 15 ft away from the rubber. Have your pitchers try to knock the ball off without hitting the tee. Give each pitcher 3 chances, then move the tee up, down, left, right, and have them try again. Make them use different pitches. You can always move the tee back to make it more challenging. I did this with my DD in the garage the other night after our normal workout, and she loved it. She did not want to stop. You will get them to throw more reps with this fun drill. enjoy!

Nice first post! Good to see it being used to offer something productive.

Along those same lines, it's a pretty well known thing to use while hitting off a tee. Sounds great as a pitching drill as well.

Love this! -
I've been trying to think of a way to get DD to work on spots that didnt involve me having to be there to sit on the bucket the whole time. This will be great! -

She does the same sort of thing with a hitting drill trying to hit the ball off the Tee at the back of the cage and she loves that.

Thanks:)

We do this a lot with hitting, can't wait to try it with her pitching! Thanks for the great suggestion!

Tried a variation with my 11 year old DD -
we tied water-balloons from a clothes line above the plate one in side one out side
Frustrating at first because the balloons were only about the size of my fist but she would not quit until she had broken all the balloons we had filled.

Thanks for the idea

DD's first pitching coach did this, she loved it. He later used it between two pitchers for friendly competition, they loved it.
