I heard of one being run with gift cards. Apparently you get $25 and $50 gift cards either donated or purchased by the parents from stores and restaurants, pizza shops, gas stations, etc. You will need enough gift cards for every day of the month. Ideally all 30/31 cards would be different. You can even cut this down to just do the weekdays instead of all 30/31 days. You then make a sell sheet with the upper two thirds of the sheet the actual calendar with pictures of each prize for that given day. The bottom of the form is what you fill out and keep with you along with the money. Each day you will draw one winner...the best thing is that the winner's name gets tossed back in the hopper with chances to win the remaining days as well. The tickets sell for $10 each; each kid should be able to easily sell anywhere from 10-20 tickets. You should be able to make over $1500 and as much as $2000. From what I understand, a very easy fundraiser.

Ipad Raffle. We did this last year for a quick $1000

11 players sell 15 tickets at $10/ticket=$1650
we gave $100 for 2nd prize
we bought the $500 Ipad Air

Left us with $1050. When you tell the perspective buyer that you are only selling 165 tickets, they sell themselves.

Sponsor tees is another good one.
Print your team logo on the front and get back sponsors for $25/per.
Because they are fundraiser tees, I get them for $5/tee
Your first sponsor pays $5 to the tee and $20 to the player. Every sponsor pays all $25 to the player.
Most of these sponsors pay $100's to sponsor the local rec team, so $25 seems free to them. Grandma & grandpa, aunts & uncles always want a way to help support your little girls passion too.

Do a Hit-A-Thon. Have the girls get sponsors for how far they hit the ball. Example: Someone sponsors .05 per foot, she hits the ball 200' (includes the roll) and that's $10 she made from one person or the sponsor can just donate a flat amount. You let the girls hit 5 balls and take the longest ball and then they collect the money. Our team did it last year and we made a little over $1600. No money out of our pockets and the girls got some batting practice in for that day.

Heck of a fundraiser, I would buy $50 worth of tickets myself.

Has anyone tried a 'Dinner/Dance'? Used to play hockey growing up. Was the most expensive sport at the time. This used to be a great way for the parents, their friends, relatives, and local area folks to come together, have a few drinks, laugh, dance and dine. Tickets were sold for entry, there were raffles for everything under the sun (all things generously donated of course), and there was a buffet line style meal, usually w/ carved primed rib. All food donated, of course. Obviously you need the space to hold it, also. With the social media world we live in, this could be a bust in today's times. But, it also could be a date night, and a better way for the parents to get together for once while not being at a game setting. Attire was semi-formal, shirt and tie, no jeans and tees. This will make folks spend a lil more while they are there, believe it or not.

We also used to do 'Casino Night', but on this one you have to have your legal ducks all in order, and it may not be such a big hit with a casino open in just about every major city in the country, now. Maybe a 'Texas Hold 'Em' card tournament would be better. Same meal, drinks, and raffles at these as at Dinner/Dance.

We had a parent who competed at BBQ shows who volunteered his time and cooked the meat. We did pulled pork meals, the meat being donated and the sides prepared by the families.Tickets were $7 a piece with each of the 12 girls having to sell 10. We set up the dinners at a local church which generated even more sales. Ended up generating around $2,800. Meals are an easy sell, people have to eat.

That's a Wrap Pizza Cafe? does pepperoni roll fundraiser: Organization buys them for $1 and sells them for $2. Business is from Boardman, Ohio and delivers as far a Pittsburgh, Pa; Slainsville, Ohio..etc . Organization sold as few as $300 to as much as 5000 with many of them being from softball organizations. He has a web site to explain it all, just Google That's a Wrap Pizza Cafe? and it should take you there. You will see a short video on how it works a have printable order forms for the person organizing your fundraiser. The Phone number to this place is 330 726 0011; trust me this works and works very well.

And your point is?? Because I did use this years ago and my daughter High school team did this last year and raised about $1600 in two weeks. It always amazes me when someone wants to put a comment just to be an a@@. And I know for a fact that several summer teams that have done this and are very successful with it. So please entertain me with your more specific answer from your )to me) very pointless comment. This was a post about fundraising so I gave information to what has worked for several organizations; so why would anyone have a problem with it??

I think they were agreeing with you. They went to the website as you instructed and there was a fundraising quote by a travel org. At least that's the way I read it....

We just stumbled across 4 OSU vs MICH tickets yesterday. Team bought them and we are currently raffling them off. Raffle tickets are $10 each.. It's early but I'm pretty sure we're gonna make out well on this one. The Ipad is a great idea too.

We also rented out the North Canton Skate Center for 2 hours. They have skating, laser tag, bumper cars, rock wall and other stuff.. We had 6 raffle baskets and did a 50/50 and in the end we cleared $900. It was a good time.

Does anyone still do Texas Hold 'Em tournaments as fundraisers anymore? I used to get emails from teams in central Ohio that hosted these each winter.

When I was still in slow-pitch, Dayton area teams used to run Fish Frys at the local VFW or Eagles. These teams all supported each others so they went over pretty well.

Also slow-pitch days revisited, but a couple of teams did concession booths at Nationwide and the Schott. The one team would farm out a couple of dates to the local baseball/FP youth group each year to ease the stress of staffing all of the dates. I would think this would be a fun one to get with.

Oh, sorry! We just did a "That's a Wrap" fundraiser, a few months ago, it was AWESOME! I love the rolls, they are delicious, an easy dinner, great price, so practical, just great all around! Just "funny" (dumb use of words, on my part) that a fastpitch team was quoted. Someone did say they were big in fastpitch, and sure enough, a fastpitch team was quoted on their web page! The webpage, is also a very well organized and explains everything you would need to know! Can't say enough good stuff, about this fundraiser, it's just awesome!
