In the past we have done a Reverse raffle and Texas Hold'em tournaments, but this year we hosted two tournaments instead. The tournaments were much more work, but also provided a much greater ROI. With the money we raised we were able to reduce player cost to $225 or less for the season. Needless to say the parents were very happy.

Great Price Doug.. Alot of teams are at the 550.00/750.00 price range some taems even higher, along with doing fundraisers...

What all do you have practice wise during the Fall/winter months for the players at that price?

Super..., The fees were higher but we distributed the proceeds of the tournaments to all the girls whose families volunteered to work the tournies. $225 was just about the most that a family paid, some paid as little as $25 (returning player that did not need uniforms) when all was said and done.

I know all the teams practiced in the fall, but the HS age teams were playing winterball so I don't think they did much during the winter as a team. The 12u and 14u did play winterball at Pinnacle I believe.

The big difference is we do not have a facility to support, so we can give our fundraising money back to the families where it belongs.

raffles, bingo, dance, auction, car washes, LaRosa's Buddy cards, Peel to Save cards, Texas Hold'em, flowers, coupon books, super bowl boards and I'm sure I left some out.

Back in the day we went canning. I know sounds crazy, but we would get permission to go to local grocery stores and set up shop. We used to make hundreds of dollars for our team. We also went around to local businesses and ask for donations. This worked great too. Car washes. What about doggie washes?

This year I purchased squares for Ohio State football games. I never won, but the team made some good money off of me.

I'm a consultant for a Columbus, Ohio company which does a very easy fundraiser. My son's baseball team is doing it twice as our products are seasonal (Fall and Spring). 20% return on sales and super easy. E-mail me if interested. thirtyonefun@fuse.net

We do a Night at the Races and our tournament. Monies are used towards team expenses and off setting the cost of our winter facilities. We also do Brown's and Cav's games as additional ways to off set cost.

If any of you Southwestern Ohio teams want to use bingo to make money... the Goshen people have a license for Saturday night that they do not use at all. I think Tuesday as well.

Friday night bingo is what supports the park and kids. Has for years.

But, I can connect you up with the bingo lady and you could hold a couple night at Heisler Park in Goshen over the winter and play bingo and have raffles, etc....

I just haven't figured out why nobody has done it with them yet. The "Bingo Lady" is a great supporter of youth sports.

Hello everyone in Oh10 I'm from the Buckeye State however I live in Phoenix AZ(18 years) I have a daughter that is just moving up to 14u with a new team.

I like to keep up with my home state so I visit this site often to see what your doing.

Being from Oh10 I know baggo! Its not big out here yet but after taking my board to softball tournaments I made it big!

I had a baggo event for a fundraiser and it went over very well! We made $3000.00 we also had a raffle at the tournament. Paid cash for the winners. Each person paid 25.00 to enter and we had 30+ teams. Out tournament is still listed on baggo.com.

We are having another one next month and I all ready have 12 teams. If anyone wants to come out let me know. I going to have another one in October.

See the website I made for the baggo tournament www.vipersaz.com

I also set up a golf tournament that made 5000.00 that was hard to do we had 17 hole sponsors paying 100.00 each for a sign on a hole and we had 60 golfers, with a raffle after.

Super Bowl Squares at 20.00 a square 50% went to the team so we made a $1000.00 This year I'm doing a few during the season.

Total last year in Fundraising events $9000.00 I'm looking to beat that this year season that starts next month and runs through July of next year. Yes we are a 501c3 team.

Maybe I'll raise enough money to bring the team out to the great state of Ohio and Cedar Point :)

Go Buckeyes!
