Help!  Baseball has come into my home

Help! We have always had girls so fastpitch softball has been a way of life for years. However, I now need to venture over to the "Dark Side" and into baseball. I am hoping that some of you know of a forum that is as good as this one. I have enjoyed reading, laughing, inputting and learning from so many of you that I can only hope that the boys side has something worthwhile.

I hope some of you can help me . . . please! ;D

Baseball isn't the dark side. Umpiring is the dark side!

If you ever get the urge to don strange protective gear, get behind a beginning catcher and have a wild- but fast!- young pitcher hurl rock-hard "softballs" toward your body, then you can start to worry!

There's no reason that the two can't coexist. I've done one or the other or both for about 35 years. Have fun along the way and enjoy the journey.

Here's a website that will get you started. They have a softball board, too, and a rules board for each sport that is crawling with umpires.
