My dd finds out tonight if its JV or V..... I've learned from some of the folks on here, that it doesnt matter which she plays for. Sit down, shut up and cheer her on. Be proud of what shes doing and what shes accomplished, no matter what team its for. I might add that when the folks on here want to set someone straight for a ridiculous post, there is NO MERCY!!! I'm ok with that too, gotta love OFC.

My DD made varsity today. Both freshmen catchers did. Right now she is being told they will split time but as long as she continues to hit the way she has been that she will find a spot for her on the field when she's not catching. I am over the moon today. So proud of my DD for how hard she worked to get back from this. I may even shed a tear later tonight when nobody's around.

Thanks! She came out of the school with tears in her eyes, which made my eyes water up too. Funny how dd's can do that to ya. You know sitting there @ the HS waiting for my dd to come out, I saw some girls that I know through family friends and friends of my dd. Watching some of the girls coming out crying and looking so defeated made me really feel bad for them. I know some of those kids love playing softball, but I also know they do not work at it in the off season. Its still hard watching those kids that got cut, on one hand I was so proud of my dd for her accomplishment, on the other hand feeling bad for a friends dd that walked out heartbroken. Unfortunately I guess that's part of the game......take the good with the bad.
