Will he be doing the live batting practice too where he pitches to the girls?

My oldest did that a few times and said it was the best hitting training/experience of her life. He taught her how to read pitchers to know what pitches were coming, which was a lesson I've never seen any hitting coach teach. I just couldn't believe how effortless he looked throwing and could turn it up or down to whatever speed she could handle.

Email Bill and ask him. Knowing Bill he'll be doing both.

Bill Hillhouse is without a doubt the best pitching instructor we have personally seen. He has a way of simplifying things for the younger girls and is very quick to correct things that have been taught incorrectly in the past. It is great for the coaches and the players that he is returning to SW Ohio. I highly recommend Bill Hillhouse and want to thank coach Derek Jacobs for reaching out to Bill and bringing him in for all of us in SW Ohio.

Randco, I couldn't agree more. On top of his knowledge of pitching from ACTUALLY pitching, he is so amazing with kids. Talks to them at their level while also coaching the parents on how to help too. He makes my daughter laugh and laugh as he's teaching her about pitching and makes it so much fun for her. Seeing him throw a ball as he demonstrates stuff is worth the price of admission and it's done with such ease and lack of effort. For those that have never been before, don't go by what you read or have been told. Instead see and hear it for yourself.

Bill H. is a very good instructor. The problem is he only comes around every now and then. Players need continuous instruction on a regular basis. If there was a way to get him here regularly it would be a big plus. When he only sees a player every now and then there tends to be alot of time spent relearning. just my humble opinion.

According to the email I received, Bill is planning on returning at least once a month throughout the winter.

Someone should set him up with Athletes in Action and their facility there in Xenia, OHIO ( 2 professional tarped fields with synthetic turf outfields) ... inside area as well...

a place that has dorms.. three to a room for the girls... with X amount of coach's room with full baths..and play a tournament on both ends of week long (Mon-Fri) Hillhouse instruction camp . Play a 10u and 12u on the one weekend before the clinic and 14u and 16u-18u mix on the other weekend. And play whatever you play on the weekend before the clinic on the backside as well putting the 16u and 18u and 14u at facility and 10u and 12u somewhere else locally ( since they got to play at the facility already) and then a coach or whatever can see what his 10u and 12u pitchers have learned in one week. Before AND after type of thing.

Make for a great event in my opinion. Teams who sent their pitcher (s) come play in the tournament featuring their talent learned at the clinic and there is no better place to play in adverse weather conditions in my opinion. Make it the second/third weekend of June and early enough to exploit those talents on opposing teams ( based on when school gets out in June whether second week camp would work).

Or during Christmas break and play two indoor events. I like this idea better actually. :)

We have him coming in about every 4 weeks this winter... contact him for dates and times.
