Home split opens 2024 season for WolfPack

MADISON, WISC. - Thanks to surprisingly warm temperatures for late-February in Wisconsin, the Madison College softball team was able to move up their season-opener for the 2024 season with a home doubleheader Tuesday, and came away with a split against in-state rival Milwaukee Area Technical College at Robert D. Goodman Softball Field. The Region 4 twin bill opened with a resounding 11-2 run-ruled win in six innings for the WolfPack, who got a one-hitter from freshman pitcher Brooke Steinhorst in her collegiate debut. The Stormers then held off a late rally by the Pack in the nightcap to claim an 8-5 decision that snapped a 15-game win streak by Madison College in the head-to-head series that stands at 22-12.
