"On the flip side, if your dd goes to a tryout & they might be interested in her, but still have more tryouts & she knows this isn't the one for her, let the coach know so he isn't overlooking other prospects thinking your kid is interested. It goes both ways. "
We tried out for a team...won't say who...it DD had a very good tryout. The coach was very honest that she was somewhat position specific and he was solid there. He offered us to come back to a second tryout if we chose and we accepted. Another tryout came up at the same time, so I called him to explain that we needed to go to the other tryout. He was good with that! (PS CLASS ACT FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW WHO I AM TALKING ABOUT, JUST DON'T TELL HIM I SAID SO!!)
Turns out my daughter made a different team at her favorite position. It all worked out, no hard feelings anywhere!
I know, I know Koombyah and all that, but the phone calls go both ways people...
