How many try out for Lasers?

I was just wondering how many girls are usually at a Lasers tryout per age group? Since most people on this forum know they are the best, do they attract 20,30,100 or more?
(Im guessing I'll get at least 10 T-Downs for this post)

Why did u have to include "that most people know they r the best?" When a team or a organization is very good they don't need people trying to blow their horn for them. Everyone who knows softball in ohio would agree with you that they r the best "organization" in ohio as a whole, however team for team at each individual age group i believe there were several teams that were better than the all mighty lasers. They had rankings at 10u and 12u and i didnt always pay attention because thats not my daughters age group however i believe grand slam and storm 01 were both ranked ahead of them? What about 10u? What about 13u? Now as a organization i agree they r the most consistent in having good teams at each level but please dont make it seem like they r on unbeatable or on a different level than everyone else because there not.

Thank you, u just proved my point for me. You posted "one team from the lasers" incredible success that all teams and organizations in ohio should be proud of and should use as motivation to show that a team from ohio can be one of the best in the nation, but i notice that u only posted 1 teams success?

These threads about the Lasers are starting to remind me of the show "Dance Moms". All about jealousy and pettiness on one side and then how much can I brag/boast about myself on the other.

Also take a look at each division. Lasers were not the best at every division. The best organization is the one you feel is the best fit. Too many metrics for determining the BEST. If you use W/L Lasers did not have the best records in all division

I didn't say they were the best team in the third or fourth national event, you did. I asked how many show up to their tryouts. Someone posted about better teams, in response, another poster listed rankings. Again, I was wondering how many show up at their tryouts? Some of you seem really butt hurt over the Lasers.

Now let me say if we are talking best or most challenging events in country one might say the Colorado Tournaments are 1-2. And there will be some definite subjectiveness in this discussion.

Any time a team wins a National Level event it is impressive. Especially if it is a WS at one of the Sanctioning bodies (ASA, PGF, even NSA).

Who cares how many show up. I would take 4 right girls in my tryouts and I'll be golden, 2 stud pitchers and 2 stud catchers then I could brag about what a great coach I am.

I'll start with a disclaimer. "My DD does not play for the Lasers, nor has she ever tried out for the Lasers." She plays for one of the "other" top orgs... I don't understand why people get so touchy about an organization having tremendous success. I will also agree with the statement that the best team for one player is not the best team for all players. With that said, I don't believe there is an Ohio organization that has the repeated success the Lasers do year after year over a lengthy amount of time. That is if you consider strength of schedule, and wins/losses of the entire organization as success. The DD's team had the privilege of playing Lasers Blue a few times this year. Simply put, that team is special. By the way, Lasers Red finished 13th, at ASA/USA, Not too shabby.

TCS/Nationals, ASA Gold, and possibly PGF Platinium. But that being said it truly was a great accomplishment

Why is that when you even mention the word "Lasers" you get attacked? I was wondering how many girls show up for their tryouts? Since they pick from the entire state, was the number like 20,30,100? I didn't know. Why did you turn it around into what team my daughter did or didn't make?
