I personally think its a good thing. If youre a D1 coach and you dont like it, do something to stop their dominance. I think it heightens the level of competition and furthermore no one is complaining about John Wooden doing the same thing in mens basketball all those years ago, in fact he is regarded as one of if the best coach of all time. I personally feel like its the liberal nature of our society (no jabs at anyone intended) where everyone gets a trophy for showing up. Thats not how the world works, thats why I love travel ball so much you want a trophy you have to go out and take it!

Geno is a recruiting genius! In pro sports there are salary caps but they are always manipulated. Nowadays dynasties come and go. There is simply the same amount of scholarships across the board. There is nothing special about Uconn over anyone else as far as university or geographical location. Pure genius on recruiting and more power to him and those girls. If only the softball program could feed off of it a little!

GOOD!! Always raising the bar in any athlete sport is good!
Make your program better and don't settle for second best! Step up to the challenge they have put forth. As I say to my players, sometimes....

"Some where someone is practicing , and they will beat you!!"

I will go against the grain here, but while I think it's good for UConn, it's bad for the sport. I have no desire to watch blowout games. Women's college basketball is of little interest to me as a spectator because there are such huge differences in the level of talent between programs.

Lived in Hartford when they started becoming great back in the early 90's and to see what a tradition both they and their men's team has become over the years, it's a great thing for any sport. Even us Yankee haters have to admit they are a great franchise and the Islanders of the 80's used to be hated as well. That's what success does, get better or suck it up and watch them raise another trophy! Hard work is hard work no matter what. Thus Huskies basketball programs are to CT what OSU football is here......

UConn isn't either I believe its directed at the coach more than the program. The best would be 2 or 4 giants consistently going at it pushing fans over the edge of their seats. I believe the early competitive games of TN vs UConn were great, Stanford, Baylor, Notre Dame, South Carolina, and maybe Washington would be great to add diversity, maybe polarity- coaching styles, systems, etc.

*the 1-and-1 automatically shoot 2 foul shots is baloney but to mirror the WNBA is great, so far.*

To beat the best you have to train harder than the best, believe YOU are the best and then go take it. Congrats to UCONN and what the players and coaching staff are doing there.
What is the headline going to be when somebody else takes the crown???
