It's Time for Instant Reply, Review at the Women College World Series - WCWS

Is it time for the use of instant replay an review at the Women College World Series, to review certain types of plays in order to determine the accuracy of the initial call of the umpires on the field. Reviews could be initiated either by a team's manager with limitations or by the umpires themselves. All instant replay reviews are examined by the Chief Umpire at a Replay Booth at the ASA Hall Frame Stadium. Then the Chief Umpire has the final decision as to whether to uphold or overturn the initial call.

I'm not saying it can be done at the Regional or the Super Regional but once Teams get to Oklahoma, I think its something "NCAA" needs a serious look at implementing.

No - No it's not - Replay is an intrusion to the game. By rule the Umpires are part of the field - Live with the human element

Hopefully they would also increase the number of cameras at the games, which would improve the coverage for all viewers.

I think the stakes are to high, for NCAA to over look instant reviews.

Of course most people could care less about girls college softball. But I'm not one if them.
