Great Article. We have watched Jennie play several times and have enjoyed her over the years. My daughter was sad when I told her. But this is what my daughter said: "Dream and Believe" just like Jennie.:cap:
Super article and what an Ambassador of the game! she's already 30?? holy cow... Has to be hard keeping a schedule like that with a little one... Good for her!
You would be hard pressed to find another person that has changed the game of fastpitch more than J Finch, she gave the game a marketable face, a glamor girl throwing 65mph. I dont think you could count how many girls got in the game because of her influence.
I know our tournament girls ( Lady Patriots Invitational ) and parents are all going on the 24th. Hope to meet Jenny and thank her for what she done over the years for the game and these girls.
No question, great ambassador for the sport .. but, it is fair to say that Lisa Fernandez, Cindy Bristow and others paved the road and got a lot less attention. Not slamming Finch, she is a world class athlete and a great role model for young women.
you can get tickets at the gate, check out the racers website for more info. they put on a pretty good show, just wish i could make it to more of their games..
I plan on seeing her play in her last event with Team USA tomorrow night. I'm in Oklahoma for business this week, and I saw where Team USA is playing in the KFC World Cup in Oklahoma City starting tomorrow evening. They play Canada at 7:00, and the USA Future Stars play Japan at 9:00.
