I have posted all the new teams from the weekend. The current teams are in as well as the many inquiries I have received. I umpire on the weekends so life is busy sometimes and I can't get back to the teams until today. Will post all new teams gathered this date... at 8 pm this evening.

A tournament up North was cancelled and I am now receiving phone calls from everywhere. Even an 8u team from Indianapolis. I am so tired of hearing the voices of 8u coaches so disappointed that they can't find an 8u tournament to play in. I am. I got to get out and work a little harder to get them 8u teams so they can play this great game of softball.

I want all teams to understand... in Wilmington... we DO NOT shorten the tournament due to rain. I have lights... be prepared to play no matter the time to be able to catch up the tournament for starting on Sunday.

I know of possible four tournament going down this weekend. I have opened the 16u up again and we will have a non sanctioned even playing by NSA rules.

Have online and e-mailed to coaches by Noon on Wednesday... Just closed the tournament one hour ago.

Helicopters are on stand by for Saturday afternoon after the rains. We play ball in Wilmington.... no matter what it takes.

Can't wait to see everybody on Saturday. Sunday's forecast is beautiful and cool after four days of high humidity according to the National Weather Service which is yards from the Park.

And Derek of the 14u Hawks.. if it wasn't for you sticking around to keep the 14u bracket open as the lone team... the other 14u would have never gotten the opportunity to play as I would have closed off that age group and returned your money.

Sorry to all about schedule. It is half done as it has been a long night... and I will finish it on the ride to Louisville today and post from Louisville from 7 pm to 9 pm time range.

Joyce went on down and told me to stay and take care of business for these girls. Then National Director and State Director chewed on me for about 45 minutes today about.. more or less waiting until Tuesday to close the tournament and treated me like I was some hillbilly tournament director. Like I needed that today.

Teams need to get their sanctioning done.. I know you got in late... and have not played NSA yet this year.... but this has to be done by tonight. They were going to cancel this tournament today. Please do it immediately.

He is going to be at the tournament , State Director of Ohio John DeLuca... and it will be a good time to tell them why you don't play NSA Tournaments..... After reading th posts of other NSA team ran tournaments... it would scare me too....lol... I will start typing now.

You may camp there at the Park with campers and motorhomes, etc..

The boys of the family have basketball cours, fishing in the pond recently stocked and plagrounds galore.

If you haven't been there yet... I think you will like Wilmington. At least you don't have to worry about foul balls from another field smacking you in the head....lol.... If it did, that ball traveled a long distance..... Mickey Mantle style distance.

Still seeking permit for helicopter hovering....lol.... should get OK'd by tomorrow.

I will be posting a "new and revised" schedule to the tournament . I have dropped the 10u rec division and that is listed in the Other Tournament section. I will be posting a new schedule very soon. As A TD, I must do what is best for the tournament as a whole based on weather forecasting and deleting 10 teams in the 10u rec division is best for the whole tournament to be able to get completed.

Also, the helicopter permit has been OK'd this morning in Wilmington. After the rains on Saturday overnight ends... the helicopter will be called in to start drying the fields.

This is the new and revised schedule. Please understand the theory of getting in these three rounds on all seven fields. If the weather continues to hold... then we will try to continue with another three rounds (thus, you have two games played).

If not, because of Saturday rain and we fight through the first round... on Saturday and it breaks out... as the National Weather Service 15 minutes ago stated that could have heavy rains about 2 or 3 pm Sunday is still going to clear up... and with the helicopter ...... we can dry the fields for Sunday play. We would play a double elimination on Sunday.

Coaches are required to call me at home and leave a message letting me know that you are in agreement with this and are still in the tournament. According to the e-mails I have gotten from teams ... they supported my decision to "revamp" this tournament

Coaches bring a copy of the roster and insurance and your sanction number at check in. Which is one hour before your scheduled game times. It is in the Park Maintainance building which is next to the big concession stand and on the right when you drive into the Park.
