Just letting everyone know that the concession stand prices will be very reasonable. Since there are several fastfood resturants in the area, the prices will be competitive with them. We are enouraging everyone to eat luch at the Park. Come crab a hotdog or cheeseburger while on a rain delay..... ;D


You can enjoy a cheeseburger combo (cheeseburger, your choice of chips and a soda) for only $3.50... WOW, thats cheaper than McDonalds ?

On Sat - with all the rainouts, somehow they and our 14u Hawks team 'played' a scrimmage, with umps, on one of the back diamonds. I think the Hawks won 7-0, but the 12u Flames looked very good, nice team...

I want all teams to understand... in Wilmington... we DO NOT shorten the tournament due to rain. ?I have lights... be prepared to play no matter the time to be able to catch up the tournament for starting on Sunday.

The Lady Flames were defeated 5-4 in the Winner's Bracket final in a see saw game by the Chillicothe Chill in a match up of two very good teams/pitchers. The Chill broke the tie in the top of the final frame with a two-out base hit. Then, held on for the win.

In the rematch, the Chill broke out from a 5-5 tie by batting around in the bottom of the fifth and cruised to a 12-5 win in the title game. The Chill hit the ball very hard up and down the order and were able to capitalize on the big field with 5-6 extra base hits. Nice competitive match up between the two teams, the Chill shut out all their other opponents and the Flames had little trouble with theirs.

Intense at times, but the delays and frustrations didn't completely boil over!

yes, I did. Helicopters work well when trying to rid yourself of 2 inches of rain in 45 minutes.
