Looking for players in all the wrong places

I feel like that is a title to a country song, but I digress...

"Teams Looking for players" on the OFC but they cant seem to find the right forum. They appear on the "General Softball", they appear on the "Players looking for teams" board. Part of me feels like this is an intentional move to put there post in front of more eyes. It could be a lack of attention to detail, but either way for me it would be a red flag. I've considered posting this for a couple years but I have been seeing it more lately. Am I the only one that finds that annoying?

I agree the General section in the forum has been getting abused over the last few years. Just not teams looking for players but tournaments
(TD) are doing the same thing.

Beside a few other post find there way in the wrong section.

I always wonder if it is a conscious decision. An attempt to get special attention. But for me, if it is in the wrong section I won't read it. But I may not be wired right

I'm with you. I think for most, if not all, it is intentional considering you see a lot of the same people posting other things under the correct sections. Desperate, is how it appears.

It's annoying, and if done intentionally, it looks a little cheap.

I agree. Was thinking the same thing. Saw a team posting needing players in the Players looking for team section. If I was a moderator I would delete their post. If it showed up again, I would delete the user.

That's exactly why OUTCAST '99, who is looking for a final pitcher to round out our roster, and who is hosting the Gene Harvey Tournament from June 19-21 at State Farm Park in Kettering Ohio, only posts in the correct forums! I hate it when people try to "high-jack" the wrong forums.

In all seriousness, it is a bit frustrating. I personally go to a specific forum or specific information. When they are cluttered with other things, it annoys me....but I'm easily annoyed.

Agreed. I didn't want to mark them spam like the Michael Kors handbag stuff or discourage a first time poster if they might be sensitive to criticism. So, I did some homework, found your original thread, and got on the campaign bus.
