The Lady Lookouts are adding a ’05 Premier Showcase team for 2021 and will be coached by Kevin Pratt. Kevin and his two female assistant coaches are all non-parent coaches. The Lady Lookouts ’05 Premier team will play a highly competitive schedule during the fall, winter and summer, and receive strong organizational support throughout the recruiting process. Mr. Pratt is also being named the Director of College Recruiting for the Lady Lookouts. Mr. Pratt will leverage his relationships with college coaches throughout our region to help our players and their families through the entire recruiting process.
“We are excited to have Kevin leading our Premier team as well as being our first Director of College Recruiting. Kevin has an excellent record of developing young players, helping dozens of players get recruited, and winning” says Jason Queen – Lady Lookouts Program Director. “Kevin is a very professional and energetic leader and helping girls play in college is his life’s passion. Kevin’s previous 20 years of coaching experience includes high school and travel baseball and softball at the highest levels. His 30 years of leadership in the US Army, Corporate America and owning a recruiting firm makes him an obvious choice to lead our Premier team and our college recruiting efforts. Kevin owns a professional recruiting firm so his skills in recruiting, marketing and communications will help not only his team but all our players and their families reach their dreams of playing college softball” says Queen.
Our Lady Lookouts ‘05 Premier Showcase team has an assistant coach who specializes in hitting/slapping/infield defense and the second assistant coach is a pitching coach who is a current D2 college pitcher. In addition to excellent coaching, this team will train extensively indoors at Kent State University during the winter. The Lady Lookouts also have professional instructors Micaela Minner for hitting, Tracee McCoy for defense and Mandee Luers for Pitching.
Private Tryouts are being schedule now and group tryouts will be the week of 7/13 on an as-needed basis. If you cannot attend either of these tryouts, please contact us for additional information. This will be a no drama, no nonsense team focused on player development and college placement. “We want to win, and win a lot while coaching and leading young women the right way”, says Kevin Pratt. “There is a lot more that can be done to help young women and that is our mission”.
