Mason Thunder 10u is looking for players for our 2015 season. Our organization is growing and strengthening every year!!! This year we have extremely solid teams from 9u - 17u; with high quality families coming from Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. We have a great indoor facility, with quality hitting, pitching, and catching instruction available; and team practices throughout the offseason and bad weather days. Our 10u team will workout / practice (optional) on Thursday evenings from 5:30 - 7:30 pm throughout the winter and spring. We will play a competitive schedule in the spring and summer.

Your daughter is invited to come work out with us! We are focused on keeping it fun for the girls, teaching proper mechanics and fundamentals, building strength and footwork, and working hard as a team. If your daughter is not available Thursday evenings, but would like to work out with us on another day, please let me know. We can work it out!!

You can't go wrong with Mason Thunder! Top notch organization, facilities, & coaches. If you're DD is looking for a team this is definitely the place she will become a better player & play the best competition.

Great organization, if anyone has been around you have seen what Joe and Thunder can do! They do a great job developing talent, definitely worth a look!

Our 10u team has not folded. Unfortunately, we had 3 Mason Thunder girls move on to Lasers 10u. We had productive private workouts / tryouts today, and will have an open practice for all next Thursday, and every Thursday this winter. I don't have a daughter on the 10u team, but I am committed to developing the girls, and teaching the sport to the girls this winter. We are blessed to have an indoor facility, with great families and coaches in our organization, that make it all happen. If you are interested in development of your daughter, please bring her out for our workouts. We have a lot of fun, and practices are productive.

That's great that you have an indoor facility, but who is the 10u coach? From reading your post am I to believe you are now coaching the team?
My understanding is there is only one girl left from the original team and that 4 went to the lasers, while others scattered themselves to other top notch teams in Ohio. Trying to figure out why a "great organization" is looking players this time of year and losing great kids and coaching.

The fact that girls have left "OUR" Organization for what many consider the "BEST" Organization in Ohio speaks volumes for the level of young talent we build & continue to work to bring into our program. As always, we will strive to produce the best teams possible. We are looking to finalize our 04 roster & are very encouraged by those who are currently on the team & those who have expressed interest in being part of the team!!!

If you have a 10U eligible DD & are still looking to get her on a quality team, we invite you to make contact with us & bring her out to a workout!

No ax to grind would just like to know who the coach is. Seems you keep failing to answer the question on this thread and via the PM you felt you needed to send trying to intimidate. Just answer the question who is the coach and why did all but one kid leave what you consider to be the "Best" organization. Again, no ax to grind trying to find out who the coach or aren't you sharing this important piece of the puzzle?

Sorry, I sent no PM to you....We have not decided on who will be Head Coach yet. I believe reading comprehension may be a little slow....As Joe stated in his initial response to you, 3 girls left "OUR" Organization for what many, myself included, consider to be the "BEST" Organization in Ohio - Lasers....As you stated, "we did lose some great kids" - but we will still put a very good team on the field this Spring! All pieces of the Puzzle will be known to all those interested in the team!
We do appreciate all of your concerns. What team are you associated with? You seem to think you know more than the rest. I see you have made 7 posts on here - 3 looking for your 03 DD to Sub late this past season, 3 regarding this thread, & one attempting to blast a Lasers coach. I guess a quick view would seem to draw the conclusion of a beef with someone.........Not sure why you find the need to ask so many questions about an 04 team when your DD is an 03 & your name suggests you have an 06 also. But we have tried to answer, & I personally will make sure all info is out as soon as officially determined for all those like yourself who seem to possibly be losing sleep over it! As I stated in my previous post that you copied - I will be more than happy to discuss whatever issues seem to be bothering you. I guess the question of who your DD plays for is a little too hard to answer. I'd say there is probably a pretty good reason why you were looking for a team to Sub for in mid June this past season. We have several interested in the position, not sure if you are one who has inquired about filling it - but rest assured, we will make the proper choice. Someone who can deal with parents who have rose colored glasses & go looking for teams to Sub for in mid-season & such. It becomes a hard job when dealing with a few individuals like that. So we will make a wise choice. Would you be available to talk with whoever is selected? Think it may help get them acquainted with what they will need to deal with.

Again, for those interested - we hope to have a team where parents like this will not be part of the team. Thanks. again!

If you bothered to read, I was looking to get her more playing time plus her regular team. Who she plays for really isn't the concern here as it only took several posts and a PM to finally get the answer of you don't have a coach. At least I left my post up when I blasted a coach who left your organization and then your organization gets on a blasts him and then deletes it. Based on this bickering back and forth I now understand more clearly why girls left this organization. Oh don't want to leave out how this organization calls parents and berates them by attacking their character and integrity and asking what kind of parent they are. Clearly, I was wrong in blasting the coach, should have looked deeper into the organization.

I have never removed one thing I have ever posted on here. But understand you seem to have a beef with a coach in our organization. I imagine throwing insults on a message board is easier than actually making contact to discuss. Whatever the coach did should have been brought to the attention of the Organization. But I do understand how posting slurs on a Message Board is much more adult like. Best of Luck to you & especially your DD in the future.

Been reading this post and have to say I get a good laugh from some parents! From what I read, Mason Thunder, an obvious proven top notch organization, is trying to take the high ground here! Not blaming anyone, any organization, or any parents for what happened with the previous players! They are wanting to put a team together, or back together to offer development to girls!

Then you have an irate parent, (obviously they have deeper issues than they want to state), trying to smear the organization and from what they DO state do not even have a dog in the fight!

Kudos to Mason thunder for not trying to play the blame game!

and for the irate parent, I wish you DD's the best of luck, but please remember this game is about the kids, not the parents!

So what we have here is a VP trash talking a parent that only asked who the coach was and according to her is getting not so flattering PM from the VP. We have JNewton the President bashing Lasers coaches over a 10 year old softball team and 3-4 month old post?

Whos taking the high road again? Not to mention I was privy to the accusations via email of JNewton and I elected not to return to Thunder for that reason ALONE! So in the future you may want to get the facts straight! And I can only hope that a Thunder coach didn't call a parent and ask them What kind of parent they are??? JNewton did this happen? I think that question needs to be answered long before anyone considers this team. I think the way Mason Thunder in this thread has treated this woman way be sufficient to answer the question. What I have extrapolated from this is its highly likely this happened!

Now tell me why Thunder is losing players again?

I was not privy to any posts that were deleted, unfortunately the OFC gods have not given me that right! If the post was deleted after posted this IMO shows the high road Mason Thunder has taken by correcting their actions!

None of what you say makes any sense. So JNEWTON bashes coach Fuergeson on the web site and then after Coach responds he takes his posts down I SAW THE POST. and then ACTS LIKE THEY TAKE THE HIGH ROAD. Well if you dont see the problem there then ou have no business talking to me. I already told you what my interest was, can you read?

You dont need to ask me anything. You need to ask JNewton if his coach or Vp or whoever it was called a parent and stated shes a bad parent? Dont mask the real issue here! The fact that you have no kid on the team or was not involved in any of the goings on is VERY FISHY! Softball mom clearly said all she asked was do you have a coach. pERSONALLY i DONT CARE . bUT WATCHING THIS GO ON PROMTED ME TO RESPOND!

So bashing coaches and then not having the balls to let it stand is the high road. OK GOT IT! In the emails i received no one ..NO ONE wanted to come back! But ill let you have your take!

I was planning on letting the publicity keep this post at the top & not further respond. But MtOrab has now accused me several different times today of false claims!!!
I have not sent a PM TO ANYONE Regarding this matter! Please stop making that false claim! I have not made an initial call to any parent - So Please Stop Claiming I did!!! I have talked to parents after they have responded to my email. Please if you chose to hide behind a Screen Name & find it necessary to make accusations - then get it right! If you were a Parent on the team, I wish you would have contacted me to discuss.

The sad part is the only family we are aware of, that IS ON THE TEAM, from Mt. Orab calls to let us know they are not responsible for this new poster. Shame on you for hiding behind a Screen Name!!!

Once again, anyone that HAS A DOG IN THE FIGHT, feel free to contact me! Just so all know correctly, I am Russ Smith, Co-founder & VP. We have worked hard to build a quality organization for THE GIRLS! Everyone has their version of the story - But please stop making wrong accusations.
