Anybody want to weigh in on the MOAC conferance this year?

I will start it off,
Red division- River valley and Highland are loaded both very good teams. North Union has always had a great program, Buckeye Valley will be very competitive. Elgin should be much improved with a solid core of young travel ball players.

Blue Division- Mt Gilead also loaded, Pleasant good young core of travel ball players, don't know about Northmor, Cardington or Ridgedale.

Not Sure if this is totally accurate but I think everyone but RV,Highland and MG because of graduation are looking to replace their starting pitching? I would think as stated above that gives them a leg up on the rest of the leaugue.

Jumping ahead, can anyone confirm the changes for the next 2 years?

It sounds like next year the MOAC adds Fairbanks, Jonathan Alder, Fredericktown and Centerburg.

The following year Ridgedale leaves and they add Upper Sandusky, Galion, and East Knox.

I've heard both a possible geographical and school size split. This change really spreads out the conference, but beefs it up a lot too.

Sorry...been working hard getting the Lady Knights prepared for the upcoming season. I see BV a little higher and although the Lady Knights are still pretty young, I see us knocking at the door near the top.

Red - RV, BV, North Union, Highland, Elgin

Blue - Mount Gilead/Northmor, Cardington, Pleasant, Ridgedale

River Valley if they can stay healthy will be tough. Two good pitchers in high school is tough to come by. Mount Gilead also lost a player that moved to Florida.

We should be the team to beat this year if we stay focused and play to our potential. We have pitching depth and young players that should be able to fill the postions we lost to gradaution.

North Union will be a very good returning the core of their team as well.

I am unsure about the rest of the league and will be interested to see what others have to say about thier teams.

Now that I had a chance to look at web sites, it would appear Mount Gilead and Highland both lost 4 starters from last year. That is tough in high school to replace in one year. We have five seniors this year and know next year will be a rebuiding year for us.

if I am not mistaken, I think Highland lost a huge (10) senior class that was the entire varsity but for one freshman. I believe that MG lost 5 starters from last year, including 4 seniors and a transfer.

Cardington lost 3 starters, and have some injuries to deal with already. We should be competitive.

Highland graduated 8 starters from last year. Their varsity returns 1 senior and 3 sophomores. It will probably be a rough year. The positive will be that a lot of underclassman will get a lot of varsity experience. They should complete well the following year.

Northmor has everyone back from last years 10-16 team, with 3 seniors this year. We have a huge freshman class that is really talented that should help us in a few areas we struggled with last year. Finally some depth in pitching, and large enough numbers that we will field a JV squad for the first time in a couple years. Excited to see what the upcoming season brings

RV will probably have to make a couple cuts or might not depending on how many the coach keeps. We still have 3 playing basketball.
