Herbs post said it all. I mean, the personal monetary and time sacrifice he made for his DD not only set her up for life, but also ended up being some of the 5 best years of his life. Think about it: If a young lady sets personal, high goals, works at it with passion, achieves those goals, and then eventually will apply those same skills toward her career and family....What else would you ever want to see out your child?. I liked that post.

We got an invite and a contract from the EC Bullets Gold out of Georgia. It was $3500 to play. Then there were lots of clauses and requirements listed in the contract spelling out behavior of both the player and the parents.

Things that you were allowed to say and not allowed to say. And you had to commit to being at the Gold tournaments. If you did not live up to any part of the signed contract, you were gone and no money back.

then you were also for all your own travel arrangements and costs.

Was that per season or for the year? I know the Ga teams play a VERY limited fall season because of HS softball.

said it was for the year. they didn't have the fall schedule like the bandits do. this was one of the gold teams, not the premier team
