I have been a member for several years now and it is a great way to network with other coaches and share techniques.

Well worth the money in my opinion.

I have been a member since 1999. The monthly newspaper they send out is very good and always helpful. The discounts for the Coaches College are good.

As a travel coach I always felt the NFCA was really an organization geared toward college coaches that used the dues from travel coaches to help support the organization. Except for the newspaper I still believe that's mostly true. Even at the Div. III level of college, not many of us have the type of budget to spend $1,000 or more to attend the annual convention, so that's even more for the Div. I schools.

Overall, though, I think the NFCA does a good job and is a good coaches' organization. If one is a serious coach, you almost have to belong.

The NFCA is definitely geared toward college coaches in their membership but the information is universal.

This membership drive is intended to add some 5,000 new members. Those by necessity will have to come from Travel Ball and High School Coaches.

For less than one night in a hotel I get a ton of information, the Coaches College Classes and unbelievable networking opportunities.

You also get a discount on NFCA Coaches College courses and you contribute to an infrastructure that allows NFCA to host recruiting camps such as the one offered last summer and being offered this coming summer during the week of the Stingrays tournament. There are definite advantages for travel ball coaches in becoming a member of NFCA, although Joe is probably correct that Division 1 college coaches get the most benefit.
