If you knew sundial, the mental picture of him on a 12U team would make you laugh, though if I still had a 12U daughter, it would be almost a toss-up between JoeA and sundial to coach her (sundial taking the slight edge because he coached our DD during the young teen-age years and somehow managed to keep five pitchers happy sharing the mound and playing their 2nd/3rd positions).

believe it or not, I'm actually starting to see your way sundial. The BCS is perfect for the Big10. We have no championship game. We really just have to beat Michigan and the one other team who is hot that year and we have a good shot at going. I would say an undefeated Big10 School will always make it to the big game under the BCS. Ohio State has a good shot at 12-0 next year too. Could be three in a row.

yet another reason why the BCS is a joke. But until the BCS address this obvious Big 10 advantage , someone from the big 10 can go undefeated or with 1 loss and still be in the hunt. Even though they play 1 less tough game per year .TheRinger said:

Voting for who is best is so flawed it's funny that anyone would defend it. Something like 9 or 10 times the # 1 or 2 team lost in the last 2 months. Oh' well just vote someone else up there ---even if they did'nt play. (unless you are georgia or Hawaii) Whatever !

Big 10 Buckeye's in the hunt again for the National Title ? Must be somthing there for the respect they get year after year. Gonna have to let it go MD you're fighting a losing battle. As far the fictional poll for softball I believe everyone involed knew it was for fun .Just felt they needed to humour you a little since the Buckeye and National Championship thing didn't work out for you again this year. Trying to make your day a little brighter by showing you attention.

"Every sport in college sports has a playoff," said Southern California Coach Pete Carroll, whose team was one of those snubbed in favor of Louisiana State, which finished second in the ratings. "Every professional sport has a playoff. I can't imagine there are many coaches who would not want to do that. There are [Bowl Championship Series] issues every year, they come in all shapes and sizes, and it happens every year. There were a number of teams who had great seasons and we waited today on a vote."

For the record I don't respect any natl' champion until they play it out on the field. It's not so much an anti OSU or big ten thing as it is a anti BCS thing. The whole thing is a joke.
Champions should be determined on the field. Not with a poll. EXCEPT maybe if you are a buckeye nut hugger and are happy just backing in because everyone else lost. . ;D

that helps make my point --you are right --everyone backed in ---why reward OSU who beat NO ONE of any value . Their conference sucked , and sucked badly , why reward them ? FWIW --LSU is not that great ---C'mon they lost to KENTUCKY . I don't know who is best ---pick 4-6-8 teams and play it off. I'd be happy starting at 4 . We put people on the moon, surely we can come up with a small playoff that would crown a champ . MD

Honestly I do think the Bucks have a great chance of moving to 1-8in bowl games versus the SEC this year. ? ?Would'nt be suprised at all if they get that all elusive 1st win. ? ?LSU just is'nt that great. ?2 conference loses ? ? MD

Just recieved information that Tressel may have to share THE OHIO STATE 2002 National Championship Trophy. Miami officials must be talking to SEC members. Word is that Miami feels they should share the title since they didn't lose any National Championship games that year in regulation time
