New glove recommendations?!

DD is in the market for a new glove and I would like one that is going to last. She is moving up to 14u this year, so I'm pretty sure all major growths spurts are done. Looking for a pitcher/outfielder glove. Hopefully one with less stitching/knots on the side to spare her leg from the inevitable blow it will take after each pitch. Don't mind spending a fair amount if its of good quality. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Been researching gloves myself to purchase. the glove I'm sold on is the shoeless Jane I would defiantly give them a look!! Have not bought one yet so maybe someone else out there has one to offer an opinion.

Don't know about shoeless Jane but Nakona is always a great glove. Pricey but very good.

DD has a Custom Glovesmith and really likes it, tried a Shoeless Jane 1st base mitt and hated it! Did not try any other Shoeless models though.

I like the idea of the Shoeless Jane but have heard several complaints about it as well. I wish they would promote the gloves like they do the bats. It would be great for the girls to touch and put the gloves on to see what they like. I don't want to spend $250 for a glove and then my daughter hates it!

My daughter had the Wilson A2000 Fastpitch Kat model and the A2000 Fastpitch First base mitt this year at 12U, first season on them, they broke in like a dream and she loves them, was tired of breaking in cheaper gloves (Mizuno Finch) every year. Watched Wilson's video on break in and followed it, on the tags that come on the glove they have a quote "no matter what your teammates tell you, your glove is not a burrito do not put it in the oven". They are slightly heavier than the cheaper gloves

Nokona and Wilson A2000 both get top marks from my two dd.

The A2000 ZCat model is designed with less stuff on the exterior for just the reason you referenced in the op, although my pitcher/daughter ended up with the V125 Superskin model because it is a bit lighter. The other daughter loves her Nokona when she isn't catching and her A2000 mitt when she is.

All three have been in use for two seasons and show no sign of wearing out.
