New Team vs Returning to same Team/org?

Thought everyone would have an opinion on this.
What should your expectations for your new team be?
If returning what are things you know that need changed and will it happen?

I'll start
I'd make sure I would thoroughly ,done my homework on team history,coachs,and schedule,teamates/parents goals for there softball future.
If returning I'd make sure our coach's have the same vision on the future team and the type of players there looking for when players leave or move up and potential replacements and next year's schedule.

What's best for the kid? If you been with the old team at least two years and same coach you know nothing is going to change. That could be a good thing or a bad thing... The unknown is scary. But if you do homework and see results from other players getting college looks, offers, having success, you have to do what is best for the kid. Go to a game or two the new team you are considering is playing and watch... Don't announce your coming. Sit back and watch from a distance. Watch how the coach coaches... Watch how the players mesh... Are there any college coaches there? What type of schedule do they play? Do they chase National Bids or do Showcases to get their kids the best college exposure and looks? Research if the coach has relationships with colleges and does individual team camps.
