returning to a team

There will be more questions than answers.....

1. What is your DDs goals in softball (short term and long term)?
2. Is the team staff going to remain the same and will they help your DD accomplish her goals?
3. Will the team as a whole help your DD accomplish her goals?

If you are happy with the team and they will help accomplish your DDs goals, then stay. If you think things could be done better, then go to some different tryouts and see what is out there.

If you're returning to a team, you probably have an idea about how much playing time she'll get. Having said that, playing time on a travel team is earned. How hard they choose to work over the winter, and in the spring, along with the work they do once the season starts should determine how much time she gets. Every practice, every game they should be playing llike their position is on the line. Kids who give that kind of effort will have all of the playing time they want, assuming the skills are there. You're definitely not going to get any guarantees from a new coach who doesn't know her. If you're comfortable with the way the team is headed, stay. If not, try out for other teams and try to find a better fit. JMO.
