Parents and Prospective Players,
The Womens Fastpitch Softball Association (WFSA) is new to the Cleveland area and is offering a summer league for players who are at least 17 years of age as of June 1st and graduating in 2014. The focus is to provide players from college and potential college players a summer opportunity to play and mix with players who have finished High School or college careers and want to continue to play competitive Fastpitch. As you will see the WFSA is a national organization and growing. The experience these individuals would give to college age players can be an excellent development tool for your players. This area has been starving for a league of this type since the Firestone League disbanded and now is the time to bring fastpitch softball back.
The following is information concerning the league. Please pass on to recruits and current players.
In our first year the league will serve a dual purpose, to further develop college players and to allow for players who want to still participate in the game on a competitive basis.
As the league grows, the areas may divided into Divisions as some areas of WFSA currently are:
Independence to Canton
Avon to Cleveland
Mayfield to Mentor
Ravenna to Youngstown
We are very close to establishing Ashland to Columbus and Sandusky to Toledo. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us. We look forward to bringing back this great game to Cleveland/Akron and eventually to all of Ohio.
Thanks,
Jay DiSanza

- Teams can obtain sponsors as they choose.
- Tentative playing sites have been identified in NE Ohio and Akron and schedule will be flexible and teams will, within the confines of our field availability be able to play more than the regular league games.
- Insurance comes with participation and all games will be officiated by Certified Umpires.
