The marion merchants 14u, we played them alot last year at 12u and they were a class act time and again. The classics 12u, warcats red 12u, west liberty force, danger 12u and the lunachix 12u. The mob has played quite a few already this year but they stick out in my mind. All good competition, coaching, parents and fun to play.

The Ohio Classics 10u are a great group. Nice kids, parents, and coaches. We had a friendly last weekend and then had some kids from both teams go to Pickerington to watch some games at the Classics tourney. By the time lunch was over you would have thought the kids were on the same team.

Yea great team & great girls - But the coach is a ****hole ;& :lmao:

I've always thought the Sapphires 14U were good all the way around. Coaches, players, etc. Would play them every weekend if we could.

Cincy Static. DD played as temp player last wkend in Greenville and she couldnt stop talking about how welcoming and great the coach, parents and kids were. Ditto for the wife, she came back and really enjoyed everyone she met. DD also made some new friends and had a great experience in her little time with them.

Awesome topic and a huge part of what should and does make the sport so great. Always like to see these positive topics. Thanks for starting it up.

Another team we had the joy to be around was Laser Red 98. Practiced with them,&Coach Bill is a lucky guy. All the parents and kids were off the charts in making DD feel welcome. His staff is great also. Tom does a great job as Bills right hand man. Coach Bill deserves alot of credit himself in surrounding himself with such great people. On that day, I learned more than any five hour period.......PERIOD.

Spending time with these two groups taught us alot about the Travel World and all the good things that can come from the right "marriage".

thanks for the props!!! We wouldnt' be doing our jobs well if otherwise, just how we believe it should be. We really appreciated your DD coming down 4 hours to just fill-in as needed. She is a sweat yound lady!!

I too have to give a shout out to some other teams. We battle the Hawks and NKY Xplosion on a regular basis, both of which have been at, in, or near our dugouts during bracket/pool play on many weekends checking in on us or rooting. Good to have the common ground to be fans and competitors of one another and keep it "down home". Doug (Hawks) and I talk quite a bit and we teach/learn both ways. Makes it that much more enjoyable. Can't say enough good about those two teams. Others that I know are really nice and good groups of young ladies are the OFC Heat 10u's too and Ohio Fire. Don and Kevin with the Ice are always a class act. In general, I've had great experiences this year and last with these teams and it is down right awesome. Don't know enough about some of the other competitors but will say no issues have been tabled this year due to crazy teams. C-ya on the field!!!

These are really good things to hear. Much to the contrast of the thread that I started! We'll be looking for a team for our daughter to try out for next year for 16U and we're hoping to find not only a good team, but one with class act parents, coaches and teammates. We're keeping our eyes and ears open!

I would have to give a nod to the Jaguars. Back in Parma an unknown Jaguars mom offered up a cookie to my 3 year old then successfully pulled a mom trick and persuaded my other dd to take the 3yr old to the restroom for a cookie too! Definitely appreciated by a dad on the road with 4 dd.
I must add, BigJag and his 10u, total class act.

One of the nicest teams I have met has been the 10u Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners. Had a great friendly with them earlier this year and was good to see them at Gaaps this weekend.

Ooof!! That's all I got to say about that.

Yes, recently hosted some friends with a 2 yr old son. At some point said boy was running about in diaper. Mrs. StarzzDad quickly informed friends of the "no boys without pants" rule...

I would like to say thanks to the 10u nitro coach on third base- he actually apologized for his parents rude comments shouted accross the field to our coach about our pitcher. Thanks coach! It was truly appreciated on the sidelines.

I'm with the 13U Stingrays, and bad sportsmanship is something I can't stand.

The 16U Vipers (who mentioned us earlier in thread) were great sports. We had a close game in Lancaster, which we lost, but we had fun. During our next game, the Vipers shouted out "Go Stingrays" which pumped us up and gave us a good laugh. We thought this was a nice gesture, and returned the favor when we saw them playing by yelling out "Go Vipers". Great sportsmanship all around.

The weekend before we played 16U in the Westerville Warcat tourny. I can't remember the name of the team, but we played a super nice team in the championship game. I remember carrying on a conversation with some fielders while on base during a pitching change. Afterwards the other team actually came up to us and told us what a nice team we were, although I think they deserve more credit.
